El Rio Grande is my favorite tex-mex restaurant in NYC. Hands down. It is the only place I have found where I can get my favorite Texas Queso. This is not it's wimpy sister the Queso Fundito which is melted cheese in a skillet, but a bowl of melted cheese, japs, and onions perfect for dipping chips or tortillas. The tacos and enchiladas are great and my new favorite winter dish is the chicken soup with avacado and tomatoes. And, of course it has the requisite boozy margarita. Delish.
